16 hours of driving and I still haven't made it to Galveston, but made it to my mom. She is currently in an in-patient facility in Webster TX.

Since Mom's surgery on Monday, she has been suffering from delusions and paranoia. We are hoping it was from the medications and/or anesthesia from the surgery. She has even been violent, which is not my mother. Dad is in poor health and extremely exhausted from being with her non-stop. I'm begging family not to bombard him with phone calls. Once I'm there, I'm hoping to evaluated the situation and can give everyone updates. She is still at UTMB, and suppose to be transferred to an inpatient rehab facility soon. Was hoping to already be on the island, but seriously overestimated my ability to drive 16 hours non-stop.

Last night Reg and I decided that I needed go to Galveston to help take care of mom and dad. Driving. Please call and keep me company. Now making my way into Mississippi.

Wobbly sets, pepper pot daleks, Movellans, and Mondasian Cybermen all look better than bad cgi (which I'm sure we will also get as well). Can't wait for the new season of Doctor Who!

Yesterday afternoon mom had a planned knee surgery. Talked to her a couple of times today, and it sounds like she is ok. She is still in the hospital. They are recommending that she stay in a nursing home for 10 days for physical therapy, which probably would be the best thing for her right now.
