Fractured left wrist and a radial fracture on my right elbow. Need volunteers to pull up my shorts and underwear, twist open my toothpaste, apply deodorant under my left arm (I can make it on the right side), and pull down my shirt. With the meds, haven't had to experience going to the 🚽 yet :(.

The official Florida state sport - electric flyswatter badminton. At lunch today I was eating outside when a big ass spider started to crawl up the pool screen beside me. Before anyone starts lecturing me that they are cute and friendly and eat other bugs...WHATEVER! I electrocuted that bastard three times and it was still attacking me. Ended up using the racket as a club, which was far more effective.

Universal Studios...7 haunted houses, 3 possibly 4 rides (it all blends together now). Hands down the highlight for me was the Harry Potter Land. Theming on a level far above anything else I have ever seen. Sorry Disney. The frozen butter beer alone is worth the price of getting an annual pass.

So back in April for Earth Day at Animal Kingdom Reg came home with some sad looking twigs for me. Needless to say I didn't think much of them. But with the move to Florida in January I had to give up all my potted plants, so I was willing to give these 3 plumeria twigs a chance. Also, while in Galveston my Mom and her neighbor gave me some plumeria cuttings as well. So we just got back from Hawaii and ALL my cuttings are doing crazy great and we officially have our first bloom on one of the plants today. It is also our 6 year wedding anniversary ). We have been together now for 15 years. Thank you for the past wonderful 15 years, and also for the twig you brought back from Disney.

Vacation to Oahu has officially ended. Got back today at 6am after traveling all day and night. Don't think I've ever been so exhausted. Had a blast the entire week, even though I never saw the smoke monster from Lost or found a cursed tiki like the one Bobby unearthed when the Brady's went to the island (all I could find is tikis made in the Philippines).

Did my first wreck dive, and I think it was the deepest I ever went down - 90 feet. Didn't go so well for me. Was too preoccupied with the GoPro that I didn't equalize well. Nose bleed and nausea quickly set in. Ended up sitting out the second dive for the day.

I grew up watching the original Star Trek, which to this day is still my favorite. Even had Trek bedsheets on my twin sized bed when I was young (which I still have in a box someplace. I just couldn’t handle seeing the final texts of a son to his mother minutes before he is killed. I don’t want to hear your endless debates over your right to buy weapons. I don't care if it was terrorism, a hate crime or whatever... people were killed and it was by an American. I don't want to hear all insanity, because we should be better than this. I just turned it all off. It’s easy for me to do. Too easy, but you feel so dead inside. Today reminded me why I love social media so much. Family, friends, geeks, friends of friends, people I haven't even met but share the same passions with, thank you. I really do love and appreciate the wonderful birthday wishes. Keep watching Doctor Who, geek out, ride a bike, visit the mouse, love something with a passion, be nice to everyone, accept our differences, and please vote Clinton (sorry, had to throw that one in).

So this bike is parked across the street by the lake where we walk the dogs. It is parked in a parking spot in the same place for the past two weeks. Unlocked. Not vandalized. I've seen the owner making loops around the lake. It's not a great bike, but it is still used. This would never happen in DC. This bike would be stripped down to the frame within minutes or completely stolen. This makes me happy with living here in Orlando. I need to focus on the positive right now.

Yesterday we had our pre-dry wall construction meeting at the new house. It was tedious, but productive going over every socket, switch, cable, and A/C vent in the entire house. It looks like we are now going to close on July 28th, if all goes as planned (which I have no doubt SOMETHING will pop up to throw a wrench into the process).

Seriously, I have been loving all the incredible photos everyone has been posting at Mega/Awesome/SpaceCity Super Ginormous Geek Cons over the past couple of days. Would have loved to be there, but I'm quickly discovering that I have a very low tolerance for crowds and queing up in epic lines (Disney included). While I might not have the opportunity to ever meet Capaldi, Smith, Tennant, or any other new Who stars, I'm very happy sticking to smaller low-key conventions. Gally is my home and has my heart. I miss Baltimore's (Re)Generation Con, even after only attending it the first year. Also, going to try L.I. Who for the first time this year, which I've heard nothing but great things about it. Hope to see my Gally friends there soon.

So a woman today offered me $500 bucks for Tucker while out for his mid-afternoon constitutional. After I politely said that he wasn't for sale, she proceeded to tell me that she had a heart attack last week and needed him to lower her heart rate. Again, I said no and she offered $700. At that point I got really annoyed and said that I could care less if she had a heart attack and was dying, she wasn't going to have my dog. Her son standing beside us didn't seem to like that comment. Came back inside and Tucker immediately crapped inside the house.

Back when I lived in Austin in my CRAZY TWENTIES, I got a DWI. Went out to celebrate one evening after seeing the new (at the time) Mission Impossible movie that had just came out. Video footage of the field sobriety test showed me singing the theme song to the movie while stumbling along the side of the road. This was also played in court as evidence. Spent 13 hours in jail and it was the most humiliating experience of my life. Countless hours of community service and thousands of dollars spent on fines, fees and lawyers, please listen to me and Helen. Don’t drink and drive.

Such crazy extravagance! The Starbucks has a drive thru! You can make a scheduled appointment online for your visit to the DMV. Grocery store baggers at Publix don't accept tips. This is all very disorienting.

One of the gifts which I received from my coworkers is this tardis keyring. Just discovered it has a secret compartment in the bottom for small items. If this was the late 80's/early 90's and I was considerably younger, I would assume this was for your daily multi-vitamin.

Said I wouldn't get teary eyed and melancholy, so I'm blaming it on the alcoholic eggnog drink concoction which went down way too easy. I miss Christopher James De Simone and Stephen Schreiner horribly already. They were the first people Reginald and I met when we moved to DC thirteen years ago. They have been the best and dearest friends and will always be family. Thank you for always being there for us. Chris, the C&O Canal path is always waiting for another bike ride. The day you are up for going all the way to Pittsburg and back, let me know.
