Burke

Our new Burke dining room table set from Home Anthology. I wish it was a Saarinen, but then I would be afraid to eat off it.

Saarinen tables

Found two Eero Saarinen side tables today buried in hurricane Ike mud. They were in great shape with the original tags. Cleaning them up I took off some of the tags, but you can still read the Knoll International address in New York City. I don’t know how I’m going to get them home, but I’ll be damned if I leave them in Galveston.

Yaz Live!

Yazoo Live in Concert at the 9:30 Club DC.  Probably my favorite live concert, EVER!

This weekend in DC has to be the first days of summer.  It's 96 degrees outside and they are saying it's suppose to feel like 110.  All I know is that my ass is staying inside as much as possible, which is how I come to writing my first blog entry.

Received an invitation Friday to attend Hillary Clinton's event at the National Building Museum.  Not going.  It really depresses me to think that she won't be our next democratic nominee.
