So I realize I didn't mention (because I didn't want to jinx it) that the house in DC is under contract. If all goes well closing is scheduled for March 7th. Reginald and I are extremely happy, both with the offer and the entire process. Much thanks and gratitude to Lisa Ling and the entire team with Evan & Mark Coldwell Baker. Finally much thanks goes to Tami who initally recommended Lisa to me. I really miss our Saturday and Monday pilates reformer classes with you.

It's pretty and all, but I friggin can't find a safe way to bike 6 miles to the post office. Also cycling on sandy roads in cleats SUCK!

Must have angered the geek gods. My original 2001: A Space Odyssey one sheet movie poster which I've had on my wall since I was a teenager just feel and shattered the glass frame. The movie poster was also damaged.

Had a great evening last night meeting up with local Floridian AND Whovian Marty Weiss. Been friends online for the longest time, but never met until last evening. Super nice guy. We are already making plans to attend some local cons together. There was also a welcome to FL gift, which I LOVE.

Back when I lived in Austin in my CRAZY TWENTIES, I got a DWI. Went out to celebrate one evening after seeing the new (at the time) Mission Impossible movie that had just came out. Video footage of the field sobriety test showed me singing the theme song to the movie while stumbling along the side of the road. This was also played in court as evidence. Spent 13 hours in jail and it was the most humiliating experience of my life. Countless hours of community service and thousands of dollars spent on fines, fees and lawyers, please listen to me and Helen. Don’t drink and drive.
