Dear Fishbowl coworkers... Your triffle attempt at poking at my OCD nature and getting me riled up failed horribly. You should be thankful that Lore tipped me off ahead of time so that I could pop a pill this morning knowing that I would have to deal with your tacky ass holiday decorations all over my desk. They have all been appropriately placed into a trash bin next to "Jersey Girl's" desk, who may need the cheap tinsel for another evening.

This has been one exhausting day off. Day started off with a lecture from my nutritionist concerning my weight, followed by unexpected visit to Albee's vet. Then labwork at INOVA Hospital, then out in Springfield to have some sort of protective coat put on my new car. Still need to go to spin class at some point. Ready for bed.

I've come to the realization that indoor cycling has to be the most tedious thing ever (spin classes excluded). Need another plan of action to hold back the weight that I lost for 2014, that is quickly coming back thanks to the holidays.

Young adult dystopian film festival this evening. The Maze Runner and Divergent. Maze Runner by far the clear winner. Wasn't expecting such a dark bleak story line. Divergent wins with the pretty male eye candy running about, but that's about it.

Volunteered with Capital Area Food Bank today. Great organization. Way too much manual labor. Afternoon spent bending over and breaking down bananna boxes. Back is officially out. I feel old.

Couple of personal highlights from 2014. 2/14 - Gally1/GallifreyOne/crazy ass Doctor Who obsession 4/4 - Kraftwerk live in concert. Seriously, am I showing my geek credentials yet? 4/16 - reached my highest weight ever at 260.4. Vowed to make immediate changes. Started seeing a nutritionalist and kick started training for the Bike MS ride. Also bought my All City roadbike. 6/7 - 60 mile Bike MS ride with Christopher James De Simone 7/26 - Solo 76.5 mile bike ride on the C&O to Harpers Ferry WV. Always wanted to go on a cycling adventure, and this was my first trek on the mighty C&O. It was glorious. 7/27 - 86.6 miles back. Personal goal completed. 8/14 - Doctor Who World Tour in NYC. Such an awesome experience it beat out the 50th Anniversary in my heart due to the great people I got to meet - Iris Blue and Tricia Guadagni, thank you for keeping me company in line for 13 hours. 8/31 - 120.9 miles in one day. DC to Brunswick ride on the C&O. Most miles ever cycled in one day. Pretty much killed my friendship with DeSimone. 10/4 - Disneyworld with hubby Reginald and best friend Ken. Weight 190.4. Didn't come back at that weight, and Thanksgiving and Christmas aren't helping, but extremely proud of the accomplishment.

Unfortunately the Grinch arrived early this year for the holidays. Reg and I have been collecting vintage 50's/60's Shiny Brite ornaments since we first met to go on our aluminum Christmas tree. Seems when the kitchen flooded a couple of weeks ago it also flooded the basement. We lost 2 out of the 4 large boxes of ornaments. Could't salvage any of them since the paint and glitter all pealed off. We don't have enough now to put up the tree this year. Trying not to cry. At least we can decorate the mantel.
